Custom Mantels & Entertainment Centers
In our on-site wood shop, Les will create and install a one of a kind mantel for your home. He is happy to meet with you to hear your ideas and help you decide what will look fabulous in your home.
Every sale, installation, and service is handled by Les or Bill personally.
Les Evans was born and raised in Sussex County and worked as a home builder for 15 years. As a talented woodworker, when the opportunity to create custom fireplace mantels came, it was a natural move for him to embrace. Soon after in 2001 he left home building to pursue his talent and love of fireplaces.
Bill Fox is originally from North Carolina, but was adopted by Sussex County in 2009. Bill learned the chimney trade in 1998 while working as a partner in a roofing company. Over the years, Bill has been a certified chimney sweep and worked with many manufacturers, home owners, and service companies. He is well versed in the building codes and requirements to keep you and your family safe.
Both Bill and Les have over 20 years of experience and knowledge!
It is extremely important every year to have a professional inspect your chimney and clean it, if necessary. At Fireplace Specialties, we provide a 21 point written inspection, as well as a video inspection of the interior flue. Should your chimney need cleaning, we do so at the time of inspection. We use drop clothes, a HEPA vacuum, and state of the art equipment to ensure a professional job. If there is damage inside your chimney that cannot be repaired, it may be a fire hazard and carbon monoxide risk. We can install a stainless steel chimney liner (with a warranty) to ensure it is functional and safe.
Got critters? We also provide and install chimney caps to keep them out, as well as miscellaneous replacement products.
